USG Boral Firestop™ Plasterboard is a high-performance fire-rated interior plasterboard, with a fire-resistant gypsum core encased in 100% recycled face and back papers that form a high strength composite design. The panels have tapered long edges for easy finishing when used with USG Boral’s joint compounds.

Fire compartmentation is a concept where the spread of fire within a building is restricted by partitioning walls or floors with fire resisting walls or ceilings. These partitions can also deter the spread of smoke which allows for a safe mode of escape during an emergency.
