GROUNDBREAKING STEP TOWARDS DRY CONSTRUCTION OF SINGAPORE PUBLIC HOUSING

Compassvale Mast, completed in Quarter 2 of 2016 is Singapore’s first HDB Build-To-Order (BTO) project to adopt drywall in internal partition as an alternative to conventional concrete walls and precast panels. With the recent manpower crunch in Singapore’s building industry, drywall is now recognized by Singapore’s government as one of the solutions to increase productivity and long term cost-savings.

The development comprises of nine 16-storey residential blocks with a total of 928 home units, all proudly installed with USG Boral’s 19mm High Density Impactstop and Rondo Fire Regulated Metals that meet the stringent housing regulations and standards. USG Boral is indeed honoured to pilot this initiative with the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) and HDB.
