Introduction

Education premises such as schools and universities require a certain standard of health and safety to ensure a conducive learning environment. School halls and classrooms require some measure of quietness. The impact of education infrastructure on learning outcomes through research has shown that a building’s design, condition, lighting, internal-air quality, temperature and acoustics have a direct correlation on student’s achievements and behaviour. Fire Protection

Our lightweight fire rated walls and ceiling systems meets the required fire regulation. We offer a range of products within our fire-rated building solutions including fire-rated wall and ceilings, fire tunnel, fire protected columns and beams. Acoustics

For maintaining quietness in classrooms and corridors, we offer a range of sound absorbing materials including Impression ClimaPlus with NRC ratings up to 0.60

Impact Resistance

Impact damage to internal wall surfaces is a major contributor to the high maintenance costs of educational buildings. Whether they are located in corridors, classrooms or sports halls, walls are often subject to damage; far in excess of normal wear and tear.

USG Boral provides a range of lining products offering various levels of impact resistance. USG Boral Impactwall, which perform severe duty resistance has been specifically designed for use in high traffic areas whilst Fiberock® Aqua-Tough is a paperless gypsum board with cellulose fibre reinforcement that is useful against hard body and glancing impact.
