USG Boral Malaysia recently completed the first of three nationwide launch events for its EasyFinish™ systems at Lightbox, Sungai Buloh on 21st September 2018. This event was attended by 281 participants from various fields of the building and construction industry, including cement renderers, main contractors, distributors, architects, and developers. Members of the Master Builder Association of Malaysia (MBAM) were specially invited to the event as well.

The EasyFinish™ launch was done officially by Mr. Tomoo Enomoto (SVP - Marketing and Sales Excellence), Mr. Daron Cheah (Managing Director of Malaysia BU) & Mr. Bob Ortega (Business Development Leader), followed by a detailed yet interactive presentation given by the EasyFinish™ Team Lead, Eric Yap. 

The competition, which featured the EasyFinish™ system versus conventional cement rendering, was the climax of the night. The objective of this competition was to prove the speed and ease of use which EasyFinish™ offers. On the 4x8ft wall erected specially for this activity, the EasyFinish™ Bond, handled by USG Boral representatives, Sam Teoh and William Teoh, needed only an impressive 1 minute and 34 seconds to complete, while the cement rendering work took more than 11 minutes and it still ended up incomplete eventually. This competition successfully convinced the attendees that the EasyFinish™ system provides up to 4 times the efficiency as we have claimed.

Another highlight on that night was the EasyFinish™ booths, which featured the three main EasyFinish™ systems respectively – the EasyFinish™ Solid, EasyFinish™ Bond and EasyFinish™ Frame. Attendees had an opportunity to see all the installation detailing e.g. window and door detailing, skirting, hanging fixtures and fittings and etc. 

Ultimately, this EasyFinish™ launch was considered a resounding success. This event is the first of three launches; the Southern Region launch will be held in Johor Bahru in October while the final Northern Region launch will be in Penang in November.
