USG Boral Hosts Quantity Surveying Students from Taylor’s University

USG Boral believes in developing young talent and nurturing future leaders. On 24 October 2017, USG Boral had the opportunity to host 30 final-year Quantity Surveying students and 2 lecturers from Taylor’s University Malaysia. An educational talk and a hands-on training session were prepared for the students. The students were also given an exclusive tour of the USG Boral showroom to have better insight into all the procedures that happen behind the scenes which cannot be taught in textbooks.

A short presentation was also held during the visit. The presentation revolved mainly on building technologies and the contribution of drywall and ceiling application towards Green Building index scoring. Product and system applications was also introduced to the students during the presentation.

Furthermore, a hands-on training regarding drywall installation was provided to the students. Our resident expert offered a detailed demonstration before offering the students a chance to install it for themselves. This enabled the students to have a valuable first-hand experience on installing drywalls the right way.

We feel honoured that Taylor’s University Malaysia trusted us to be an exemplary company to guide their Quantity Surveying students. We trust that the students gained valuable experience and knowledge during the visit.
