Turning acoustics into a defining design feature of Agile Workspaces

At USG Boral we have a wide range of trusted ceiling products and systems. In fact, USG actually started manufacturing suspended ceilings back in the 1960s. However, we’re always looking to complement our offerings and this attracted us to a very special range of acoustical ceiling and wall products manufactured in New Zealand.

PROVEN TRACK RECORD FOR INNOVATION

Asona acoustical ceilings have a proven track record, with wide application throughout New Zealand in educational, sporting and commercial buildings where noise reduction is a critical factor. Applications include swimming centres, gymnasiums and libraries. For office buildings, Asona ceilings are used in foyers, meeting rooms as well as in refurbished heritage buildings with tin rooves that would otherwise be deafening in wet weather.

But perhaps the most obvious factor in their appeal is their diversity and visual appeal. The products come in a wide range of decorative colours, patterned fabrics and perforation designs. This makes them a good choice for open plan offices, where designers are creating agile working spaces such as collaboration and innovation areas. Various zones can be colour-coded or otherwise visually defined by floating sound absorption panels.
