USG Boral wins two coveted Good Design Awards

USG Boral’s SHEETROCK® Dust Control Jointing Compound and Ensemble™ Monolithic Acoustical Plasterboard Ceiling System Win Good Design Awards for Design Excellence

 

We’re excited to announce that USG Boral’s Ensemble and SHEETROCK Dust Control both won Good Design Awards in the Product Design category at last night’s Good Design Australia Awards!

The Good Design Awards are Australia’s most prestigious industry awards recognising excellence in design, innovation and design impact. 

SHEETROCK® Dust Control, designed to reduce the amount of respirable airborne dust during sanding, received high praise from the Good Design Jury.

“Dust Control Joint Compound solves a genuine problem in the building industry and promotes the use of design beyond the traditional design disciplines associated with this category. This product uses chemistry to solve a recognised problem with dust accumulating during the plastering process.”

Ensemble™ Monolithic Acoustical Plasterboard Ceiling System was unveiled in Australia in 2018 at Chancery House in Perth.

It was commended by the jury: “The testimonials prove this product to be highly innovative in its application. The benefit of removing the need for added acoustic products is a huge advantage. Great to see this kind of product submitted for the Good Design Awards - it demonstrates the problem-solving capacity of design beyond the traditional design disciplines - well done.”
