Sheetrock Producing Wall Solution in GCC

USG Boral Middle East, a major manufacturer for innovative finishing building materials in the region, Sunday announced that customers in the GCC and broader Middle East could now secure its premium SHEETROCK brand plasterboard and wall solutions locally in the region.

Manufactured at the company’s state-of-the-art production plant in Salalah, Oman, which was recently inaugurated in April 2015, USG Boral Zawawi Drywall is stated to be the first to produce the SHEETROCK brand in the GCC.

Developed in the United States, more than 90 years ago, SHEETROCK has become synonymous with quality and innovation. As a result, today, it is a wall solution of choice globally and has been used in many of the world’s “most iconic and best constructed” buildings.

USG Boral’s local GCC produced SHEETROCK, like that manufactured in the United States, is UL certified for 334 wall systems. UL is the foremost leader globally in product safety testing and certification. For more than 100 years, manufacturers have had their products evaluated and tested for safety risks by the company’s independent, third-party safety certification organization.

USG’s SHEETROCK production line in Oman has been fully certified by UL to produce fire rated products and will continue to undergo quarterly inspections according to UL’s rigorous and ongoing standards testing for quality, uniformity and safety, including fire resistance.
